Frontier Airlines to launch first South American service from Orlando

Frontier Airlines has announced its first-ever expansion into South America, launching nonstop service from Orlando International Airport (MCO) to Colombia in December. The new routes will connect Orlando to Bogotá (BOG), Medellín (MDE), and Cartagena (CTG).

This expansion marks a significant milestone for the 32-year-old low-cost carrier. To celebrate the launch, the airline is offering promotional fares starting at $99. The move is intended to meet high demand for affordable travel between Central Florida and Colombia.

Greater Orlando Aviation Authority CEO Lance Lyttle stated that the new service strengthens connectivity with Colombia and provides travelers with more options. The expansion also coincides with Frontier’s introduction of ‘The New Frontier,’ which includes upgraded seating options like UpFront Plus.
