Frontier Airlines to launch new nonstop routes to Colombia
Frontier Airlines has announced its expansion into South America, with plans to launch three new nonstop routes connecting Orlando International Airport (MCO) to Colombian cities in December 2026. The service is subject to government approval.
The airline will debut its South American network in Medellín on December 10, 2026, with daily flights. This will be followed by service to Bogotá on December 14, initially operating six flights per week before moving to daily service in March 2027. Cartagena is scheduled to join the network on December 19 with one weekly flight.
The expansion aims to capture demand for low-cost travel between Florida and Colombia, targeting corporate, vacation, and diaspora travelers. As part of its ‘The New Frontier’ strategy, the airline is also introducing service upgrades, including UpFront Plus seating and first-class cabins.
