Frosinone Mayor Riccardo Mastrangeli Announces Tax Freeze, Exits Financial Recovery Plan

Mayor Riccardo Mastrangeli said the municipality of Frosinone will not raise any local tax rates for 2026, describing the decision as a "road of stability and fiscal rigor". He highlighted that the city has successfully exited the state‑mandated financial recovery plan, restoring full solidity to its accounts, a milestone he called historic.

Mastrangeli also noted that the local waste tax (TARI) for 2026 was approved without general increases, with exemptions maintained for households facing greater economic difficulty. The announcement comes amid a prolonged deadlock in the city council, which has been unable to elect a council president for two successive votes.
