Frosinone worker dies after falling from school roof
Davide Di Scala, a 38-year-old construction worker, has died at the Fabrizio Spaziani Hospital in Frosinone following a fall from a school roof. The incident occurred on Thursday, October 29, while Di Scala was performing maintenance work on the roof of the Amedeo Maiuri primary school gym to address water infiltration.
Di Scala, who lived in Itri and worked for the company Itri Appalti e Servizi, was initially conscious when emergency responders arrived. However, his condition deteriorated rapidly after being admitted to the hospital, reportedly due to internal bleeding.
Local authorities, including the State Police and inspectors from the Spresal (the ASL Prevention and Safety Service), are investigating the circumstances of the accident. The investigation aims to determine the exact dynamics of the fall and verify whether safety regulations for working at heights were strictly followed during the renovation project. An autopsy has been ordered by the Public Prosecutor's Office of Frosinone to clarify the cause of death.
