Frost advisories issued for New York, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania

The National Weather Service has issued frost advisories for several regions in the Northeastern United States, signaling the arrival of autumn cold. The advisories are effective from Tuesday at 11:00 PM until Wednesday at 9:00 AM EDT.

In New York, the warning covers Ulster, Dutchess, Orange, and Putnam counties. In New Jersey, the advisory includes Sussex County. Additionally, frost is expected in parts of Pennsylvania, specifically in Carbon, Monroe, Columbia, Montour, Northumberland, Schuylkill, Snyder, and Union counties.

Temperatures are expected to drop near or below 32°F (0°C), which may lead to frost formation on vehicles, exposed surfaces, and vegetation. Meteorologists warn that sensitive outdoor plants, including leaves, stems, and buds, could suffer significant damage or death if left uncovered during the freeze.
