FRP Moto launches M3 electric minibike with Auto-Wheelie technology

FRP Moto, a brand from California-based FRP Powersports, has introduced the M3, its first electric minibike designed specifically for electric propulsion. A primary feature of the M3 is the ‘Auto-Wheelie’ system, which provides electronic assistance to help riders maintain a wheelie once the front wheel is lifted.

The system includes two dedicated modes: a practice mode for beginners and an advanced mode that offers approximately double the lift. In these modes, the throttle regulates the wheelie angle between 20 and 45 degrees, while the motor controller continuously adjusts power to maintain balance. To ensure safety, the bike automatically exits wheelie mode if the inclination exceeds 58.5 degrees. During wheelie maneuvers, speed is limited to approximately 16 km/h (10 mph) on flat ground.

The M3 is powered by a 3 kW permanent-magnet synchronous motor, capable of reaching a peak of 4.1 kW for up to 17 seconds. It has a top speed of approximately 89 km/h (55 mph) and an estimated range of 35 miles under ideal conditions. The bike features a removable 60V lithium-ion battery that can be charged in six to nine hours. Other features include a customizable four-digit passcode, USB charging ports, and an upcoming companion app with GPS alerts and parental speed limits.
