Fürth: Arrest made in suspected attempted manslaughter case

A 19-year-old man has been placed under arrest following a violent altercation in downtown Fürth. Early on a Sunday morning, a dispute broke out between the teenager, a 17-year-old companion, and a 58-year-old man on Königstraße.

The confrontation escalated when the 58-year-old was knocked to the ground and repeatedly kicked in the head by the 19-year-old. Police subsequently apprehended both suspects. An investigating judge has issued an arrest warrant for the 19-year-old on suspicion of attempted manslaughter.

The Fürth homicide squad is conducting further investigations. Police are urgently seeking two female witnesses who reportedly spoke with the involved parties shortly before the incident. The women were seen entering a dark VW Touran with Nuremberg license plates following the event.
