Fürth Michaelis-Kirchweih festival scheduled for October 2026
The Michaelis-Kirchweih festival in Fürth, Germany, is scheduled to take place from October 3 to October 14, 2026. Recognized as the largest street festival in Germany, the event commemorates the completion of St. Michael's Church in 1100.
To coincide with the 2026 festivities, a new edition of the ‘Färdder-Kärwa-Wimmelbuch’ has been released. The detailed picture book, co-designed by sixth-generation showman Patrick Ulrich, features local landmarks such as the town hall tower and the city theater, alongside festival highlights like the harvest festival parade and balloon lighting.
The festival will occupy large sections of Königstraße and Nürnberger Straße. Programming includes traditional market stalls, rides, games, and various culinary offerings. Standard operating hours are typically 10:00 to 23:00 Monday through Saturday, with slightly later starts on Sundays and holidays.
