Fărău commune completes town hall modernization via PNRR funds

The commune of Fărău in Alba County has completed the modernization of its town hall building, funded through the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (PNRR). The project, which ran from February 2023 to July 2026, focused on rehabilitating public buildings to improve local services and reduce energy consumption. The non-reimbursable financing for the project totaled approximately 1,273,207 lei, plus VAT.

In addition to the town hall renovation, the commune has implemented other infrastructure improvements, including the expansion of the street video surveillance system and the equipping of school infrastructure and sports halls.

Separately, Mayor Ioan Stoia has called for an extraordinary meeting of the local council on September 7, 2026. The agenda includes reviewing regulations for school minibus transport, establishing routes and schedules for school transport, and approving the hiring of a lawyer for a specific legal case.
