Fruit companies launch new seasonal and long-life products in Japan
Takano Fruit Parlor has announced the launch of a seasonal autumn menu across its various locations starting September 1. The limited-time offerings feature seasonal fruits such as Shine Muscat grapes, grapes, Japanese pears, persimmons, figs, and chestnuts. The menu includes items like parfaits, fruit sandwiches, and dessert plates, with specific variations available at different branches including Shinjuku Takashimaya, Ikebukuro Tobu, and JR Nagoya Takashimaya.
Separately, Dole Japan, Inc. is introducing new “Dole Eat-up Cut Fruit” products, specifically pineapple and orange varieties. These 100g single-serving portions utilize heat sterilization and airtight packaging to achieve a 40-day refrigerated shelf life. The products will see a pre-release at Lawson convenience stores starting September 1, 2026, before expanding to supermarkets nationwide. The initiative aims to meet consumer demand for convenience and long-term storage while reducing food waste.
