Fruit industry innovations debuted at Fruit Attraction 2026

At the Fruit Attraction 2026 event, companies Bollo and Sorma Group introduced new innovations for the fruit industry.

Bollo launched a new line of IV-range fresh fruit specifically designed for vending machines. The range includes melon, pineapple, and watermelon, with mango and persimmon expected to follow. The products are designed for high-traffic locations such as airports, hospitals, and universities, offering convenient, additive-free portions between 170 and 200 grams.

Sorma Group debuted two new technologies aimed at automating fruit processing. The EVA-700 is a pre-calibration machine designed to automate the removal of overripe or unsuitable fruit, replacing manual selection tables to reduce production costs. Additionally, the company introduced Ultra-Scan, a vision system capable of detecting internal fruit defects at a rate of up to 15 units per second.
