Fruteria Cano wins Big Tex Choice Award for Tropical Coco Fresca

Fruteria Cano has won the “Best Taste — Sipper” award at the 22nd Annual Big Tex Choice Awards for its Tropical Coco Fresca. The drink features layered pineapple-watermelon agua fresca, a chamoy lava Tajin rim, and coconut snow.

Owner Luis Cano noted that the submission was made just an hour before the deadline. He expressed that the win is an honor for the Hispanic community and the East Dallas area. Fruteria Cano has operated in East Dallas since 2001, having rebuilt after its original location was destroyed by a fire in 2016.
