Fès hosts Quran competition and regional development oversight

The Mohammed VI Foundation for African Ulema concluded its seventh annual Quran recitation and memorization competition in Fès. Secretary-General Mohamed Refki emphasized the foundation's commitment to the strategic goals set by King Mohammed VI, the foundation's supreme head, to serve the Quran and connect African Muslim youth to its teachings.

The competition showcased high levels of proficiency in recitation and Tajwid rules among participants from various African nations, including Niger, Nigeria, Mali, Somalia, Mauritania, Tanzania, Mauritius, Ivory Coast, and Liberia. Judges noted the exceptional precision and performance of the contestants, making the selection process highly competitive.

Separately, in the Fès-Meknès region, the Fès Regional Development Agency (Fès الجهة للتهيئة) is intensifying its field monitoring of various infrastructure projects. Under the supervision of Director General Hicham El Kartassi, the agency is employing technical oversight and collaborating with international specialized firms to ensure that construction projects meet quality standards, respect technical specifications, and adhere to established deadlines.
