FSB reports intelligence agent arrest and thwarted attack in occupied territories

The Russian Federal Security Service (FSB) has reported the detention of two individuals allegedly working for Ukrainian intelligence services in occupied territories.

In Sevastopol, the FSB detained a Russian citizen accused of acting as an agent for the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine. According to the FSB, the individual established contact with a Ukrainian officer via a Telegram group and was found with a mobile phone containing correspondence confirming his activities. He faces charges of high treason and participation in terrorist activities, which could result in life imprisonment.

In Donetsk, authorities claim to have prevented a terrorist attack targeting a polling station. An FSB report states that a local resident, allegedly acting on orders from the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU), was intercepted while preparing to deploy explosives. The suspect reportedly received 20 kilograms of explosives from a cache and an additional 2 kilograms of plastic explosives via drone. The individual allegedly intended to leave the explosives near a crowded voting location to maximize civilian casualties. The suspect reportedly confessed to the plan, stating he was promised 10,000 dollars for the operation.
