Specific companies have implemented changes including removing misleading trademarks and revising product names. Honest Innovation For You Private Limited and Heliostone Specialties Private Limited changed product names after receiving notices. Rajasthan Agro and General Industries ceased using the term ‘PPM’ in communications, while Iota Nanotechnology Private Limited stopped producing non-standardized water and removed misleading claims from its labels. Additionally, Panchamrit Industries Private Limited removed an electrolyte drink from its website following a notice.

Livore Ventures Private Limited issued an apology and pledged to destroy existing packaging after being flagged for misleading ‘vegan’ and ‘healthy’ claims on its roasted edamame beans. The company stated the errors were unintentional due to a lack of regulatory knowledge.

In a broader move to protect consumers, the FSSAI has also cautioned celebrities and social media influencers against promoting food products with unverified health benefits, such as immunity-boosting claims. The regulator warned that endorsements lacking scientific evidence could lead to legal action under the Food Safety and Standards Act, 2006.
