FTC reaches Europ’A Cup final after victory over Piraths Handball

FTC-Toyota Kovács has secured a place in the Europ’A Cup final in Strasbourg following a 30-23 victory over the French side Piraths Handball. The Hungarian team, coached by Jesper Jensen, established a dominant lead in the first half, heading into the break with an 18-11 advantage.

Goalkeeper Anna Kristensen delivered a strong performance, supported by a functional defense. Petra Simon led the scoring for FTC with seven goals, while Angela Malestein contributed six. Michala Møller added two goals to the tally. Mette Tranborg did not play due to precautionary measures.

Despite some technical errors and tactical shifts from Piraths Handball in the second half, FTC maintained control to secure the seven-goal win. FTC will face Metz Handball in the final, as the French club advanced after defeating Nykøbing Falster Håndbold 29-24.
