Nagoya Asian Games: Fu Chao-hsuan wins historic high jump gold
At the Nagoya Asian Games, several significant track and field results were recorded. Fu Chao-hsuan of Chinese Taipei won the gold medal in men’s high jump with a clearance of 2.25 meters, marking the first time a male track and field athlete from Chinese Taipei has won an Asian Games gold in 60 years.
In other events, China’s Feng Bin secured the gold medal in women’s discus throw with a distance of 63.83 meters, while teammate Jiang Zhichao took silver. In the men’s 4x100m relay, the Chinese team took gold, followed by the Chinese Taipei team, which earned silver with a national record time of 38.32 seconds.
Additionally, Lin Zhongwei won bronze in the men’s 400m hurdles for Chinese Taipei with a personal best of 48.74 seconds. In the men’s 110m hurdles, China’s Chen Yuanjiang claimed the gold medal, finishing ahead of Japan’s Rashid Muratake, who took silver.
