Fu. So. Cers launches first solidarity energy community in Cantù

Fu. So. Cers, a new social cooperative and the first solidarity-based energy community in the Cantù region, was established in late 2025. Formed by various social cooperatives and associations, the initiative aims to produce and share renewable energy to benefit local families, businesses, and community organizations.

The cooperative has already implemented two photovoltaic plants at the In Cammino social cooperative and the I Concettini headquarters in Cantù, reaching a combined capacity of 110 kW. This setup allows for energy exchange among members, reducing consumption costs.

A central goal of the project is to link the ecological transition with social welfare. Economic benefits generated from renewable energy exchanges will be directed toward social projects and supporting families facing energy poverty. President Sergio Marelli stated that the cooperative seeks to promote an energy model based on participation, sustainability, and solidarity to address regional energy challenges.
