Fubon Guardians defeat Rakuten Monkeys 5-0 behind Wilkerson's shutout

The Fubon Guardians secured a 5-0 victory over the Rakuten Monkeys, marking their second consecutive win in the CPBL. Pitcher Aaron Wilkerson earned the win and MVP honors after a strong six-inning scoreless performance, his first victory in the first team since late March.

Offensively, Fan Kuo-chen led the team with two hits, including a solo home run, and contributed two RBIs. Ye Zi-ting also had a notable performance with three hits.

Amidst the win, Guardians manager Goto Mitsutaka addressed the approaching foreign player deadline, noting that all foreign players are facing evaluation. This follows the recent departure of Japanese pitcher Abe Yudai, who has since joined the Oisix Niigata Swallows in Japan's NPB. While Goto expressed a desire to retain Abe, he respected the player's decision to return to Japan.
