Fubon Guardians finalize foreign pitcher roster and secure extra-inning win

The Fubon Guardians have finalized their foreign pitcher roster for the CPBL season, selecting Hantierio, Mattis, Shawn Morimando, and Shunsuke Suzuki. Despite a scoreless eight-inning stint in the minor leagues, former MLB pitcher Ty Rai was excluded from the final four spots.

In recent game action, the Guardians secured a 2-1 extra-inning victory against the Uni-President 7-Eleven Lions at the Taipei Dome. Lin Ze-bin earned MVP honors after delivering a decisive walk-off hit in the bottom of the 10th inning. Lin also contributed a crucial defensive play in the top of the inning, preventing a Lions runner from scoring at home.

Guardians starter Shawn Morimando held the Lions to just two hits over six innings, while reliever Tseng Chun-yue earned his third win of the season by pitching 1.1 scoreless innings in relief.
