Fuel and heating costs fluctuate across Andalusia and Extremadura
Fuel prices in Andalusia show significant regional variation. According to data from the Ministry for the Ecological Transition, minimum prices for gasoline 95, gasoline 98, and diesel differ widely between provinces such as Seville, Cádiz, Málaga, Córdoba, and Granada. For instance, in Seville, gasoline 95 was recorded at 1.539 euros per liter, while in Córdoba, the minimum for gasoline 95 reached 1.519 euros per liter.
In Extremadura, heating costs are a growing concern for residents. Filling a 1,000-liter heating oil tank is estimated to cost approximately 1,760 euros, based on a rate of 1.76 euros per liter. Experts suggest that while fuel prices fluctuate with oil markets, long-term savings can be achieved through better home insulation and the adoption of aerothermal systems, which utilize heat pumps to provide more thermal energy than they consume in electricity.
