Fuel price variations reported in João Pessoa and Ituiutaba
Recent surveys indicate varying trends in fuel prices across different Brazilian regions. In João Pessoa, a Procon-JP study conducted on October 20 across 112 establishments shows that the lowest price for common gasoline has remained stable at R$ 6.09 for one week. While 68 stations maintained prices and 40 reduced them, no stations reported increases for common gasoline. Additive gasoline's lowest price also held steady at R$ 6.25. However, common diesel saw an increase in its lowest price, rising from R$ 6.25 to R$ 6.59, and Natural Vehicle Gas (GNV) also showed an upward trend in its minimum price.
In Ituiutaba, data from the National Agency of Petroleum, Natural Gas and Biofuels (ANP) for the week of October 11 to 17 shows common gasoline prices ranging from R$ 5.99 to R$ 6.19 per liter. The lowest prices were recorded at Décio Comércio e Serviços Rodoviários and Posto Amarelinho, while the highest was at Posto Itamaraty. The R$ 0.20 per liter difference between the lowest and highest prices can result in a savings of R$ 10 for a 50-liter tankful.
