Fuel prices in Córdoba: YPF increases rates while Shell holds steady

Fuel prices in Córdoba, Argentina, show divergent trends between major providers. A survey conducted on August 30 indicates that YPF implemented moderate price increases ranging from 0.75% to 1.2% compared to July. In contrast, Shell maintained its previous prices without any changes across its product lines.

These pricing adjustments occur amid a significant decline in fuel demand. National data from the Secretariat of Energy shows that fuel sales fell 6.4% year-on-year in July, marking the largest contraction in two years and continuing a six-month trend of negative growth. In the province of Córdoba, demand reached 157,212 m³ in July, representing a 1.57% year-on-year decrease.
