Fuel prices in India remain unchanged on August 14
Fuel prices for petrol, diesel, and CNG remained unchanged across major Indian cities on Friday, August 14, 2026. Oil marketing companies and natural gas distributors typically revise these rates daily at 6 am.
In Chennai, petrol is priced at Rs 107.77 per litre and diesel at Rs 99.55 per litre. This follows a series of cumulative hikes since mid-May, where petrol and diesel prices rose by nearly Rs 7.5 per litre due to surging global crude oil prices linked to geopolitical tensions in the Middle East.
Across the country, Hyderabad recorded the highest petrol price at Rs 115.69 per litre, while Chandigarh offered the lowest at Rs 98.10 per litre. Diesel prices were highest in Thiruvananthapuram at Rs 104.40 per litre, and Chandigarh maintained the lowest diesel rate at Rs 86.09 per litre.
