Fuel prices rise across Norway and Denmark

Fuel prices are experiencing significant increases across Scandinavia, impacting consumers and transport sectors. In Norway, Per Ivar Lied of the Centre Party (Senterpartiet) criticized the government and the Conservative Party (Høyre) for a rise in pump prices. Following a reduction in road use taxes earlier in the year, prices have surged, with gasoline and diesel approaching 27 NOK per liter. The political shift is noted to affect rural commuters and transport companies significantly.

In Denmark, fuel costs are also rising, with diesel prices seeing a notable increase of 31.6 percent compared to September of last year. According to FDM, gasoline prices have risen by 18.2 percent. Experts suggest that prices could reach 18 DKK per liter due to ongoing geopolitical tensions in the Middle East, placing additional pressure on the budgets of vehicle owners.
