Fuel prices fluctuate across Spanish regions
Fuel prices continue to fluctuate across various Spanish regions, impacting commuters during holiday periods. In Andalusia, significant price differences exist between stations in Sevilla and Cádiz. For instance, in Sevilla, gasoline 95 prices start around 1.579 euros per liter, while various stations in Cádiz share minimum prices for the same fuel. Diesel remains most affordable in the capital of Cádiz.
In the Valencian Community, drivers are encouraged to compare rates in Valencia, Alicante, and Castellón to manage monthly expenses, as prices can vary significantly even between stations located only a few kilometers apart.
Beyond station selection, experts suggest several methods to reduce fuel consumption and costs. Maintaining proper tire pressure is critical, as under-inflated tires can increase consumption by up to 4% on interurban roads. Additionally, adopting smoother driving habits—avoiding sudden acceleration and braking—can save up to 15% in fuel and CO2 emissions. Remote work is also highlighted as a significant factor for potential savings; for workers commuting 60 kilometers daily, fuel costs can reach between 130 and 150 euros per month.
