Fuel supply in Venezuela disrupted by electrical failures

Electrical failures in the Carabobo region of Venezuela are hindering fuel distribution for the transportation sector. Adolfo Alfonzo, president of the Carabobo Transport Union, reported that drivers must navigate various service stations to find those with operational electricity, complicating daily routes and affecting passenger service.

The union is seeking support from regional authorities to resolve these issues and ensure consistent service for commuters in Valencia and surrounding municipalities.

Nationwide, gasoline distribution continues to follow a schedule based on vehicle license plate numbers. For the week of September 21 to 27, subsidized fuel is allocated via the Sistema Patria platform, providing 120 liters per month for cars and 60 liters for motorcycles. Users can transfer funds from Venezuelan bank accounts to their Patria accounts to facilitate these payments.
