Fuel tanker fire in Kumasi destroys one vehicle and damages another

A fire involving two fuel tankers occurred at the Kaase Angola Tanker Yard in Kumasi on Saturday, October 10, 2026. The blaze took place opposite the Latex Foam Company.

The Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) deployed three fire pumps to combat the incident. Firefighters brought the blaze under control by 8:04 PM and fully extinguished it by 8:36 PM. One tanker, registration number AS-1121-10, was completely destroyed, while a second tanker, GT-5022-B, sustained partial damage. No casualties were reported, and the cause of the fire remains under investigation.
