FUEL Yorkshire roadshow generates £6.1m business funding pipeline
The FUEL Yorkshire business funding roadshow, held in Rotherham at the AESSEAL New York Stadium, has generated a £6.1 million funding pipeline. Delivered by business support specialist UMi, the event connected entrepreneurs with investors, lenders, and advisers through one-to-one meetings and workshops designed to accelerate growth and improve access to finance.
Following a previous event in Newcastle, this second stop of the national FUEL Roadshow focused on providing high-quality support to areas that traditionally receive fewer large-scale business events. The initiative was supported by several major partners, including NatWest, Purbeck Personal Guarantee Insurance, CO4CH, the Department for Business, Innovation, Science and Trade, the Small Business Commissioner, CBI, and the British Business Bank. Regional support was provided by the South Yorkshire Mayoral Combined Authority and the West Yorkshire Combined Authority.
The event facilitated more than 150 ‘Meet the Money’ appointments. Feedback indicated that approximately 75% of delegates left with actionable steps for business growth, while 78% intended to pursue further financing.
