Fuengirola launches summer plan supporting 48 children
The Fuengirola City Council is running its "Plan Corresponsables" this summer for 48 children aged 3 to 16. The municipal service aims to help families reconcile work and family life by offering afternoon activities at the Elola Sports Complex, including multi‑sport sessions three days a week, beach outings and educational programmes. Five specialised monitors supervise the participants.
Councilors Cristina Bornao (Families, Equality and Social Welfare) and Julio Rodríguez (Sports) highlighted that the plan, launched in 2023, has already assisted 174 minors and complements other summer offerings such as the municipal sports campus and summer school. Families must be registered in Fuengirola and demonstrate a need for work‑life support to enrol.
