Fuentes de Nava and Peñaranda host traditional cultural and agricultural events

Fuentes de Nava hosted the celebration of the Province Day, a traditional event that brings together residents and visitors from across Palencia. The festivities began with a parade of approximately thirty municipal banners (pendones), accompanied by local dancers and musicians. Javier Liébana, president of the Palencia Tierra de Pendones association, described the banners as the “soul of the town,” representing the identity and history of each community.

In Peñaranda, the fourth edition of the Agro-food, Organic, Artisan, and Local Fair opened in the Plaza Nueva. The event features about twenty exhibitors and small-scale producers from various parts of Spain, focusing on rural products and craftsmanship. Mayor Carmen Ávila highlighted the growth of the fair and the importance of supporting local artisans and small-scale economic activity in rural areas.
