Fuerza del Pueblo demands transparency over Motoben program funds

The Fuerza del Pueblo (FP) party, through its Road Safety Secretariat, has called on the Dominican government to provide transparency regarding the Motoben social program. The opposition party is questioning the effectiveness and execution of public funds allocated to the initiative.

Erick Mejía Merán, Vice Secretary of Road Safety, demanded an explanation of the total investment, a list of beneficiaries, and concrete results for registered motorcyclists. The program provides a monthly subsidy of RD$2,650, which is split into RD$1,000 for fuel and RD$1,650 for food purchases via the Supérate program.

The demand for accountability follows an investigation and a formal request for public information conducted by the party's commission.
