Fuerza Gremial Agropecuaria alleges irregularities in ANPA elections

José Vásquez, a candidate for the presidency of the Asociación Nacional de Profesionales Agropecuarios (ANPA) representing the Fuerza Gremial Agropecuaria, has denounced irregularities in the organization's electoral process. Vásquez claims that the National Electoral Commission (CNE) has issued resolutions that restrict the participation of different professional groups and attempt to block his candidacy based on alleged documentary non-compliance.

Vásquez argued that while the CNE recognizes the individual right of members to vote, it is preventing them from participating organized as a professional group. He characterized the actions as a violation of the right to be elected and stated his intention to take the matter to court to ensure fair and transparent elections scheduled for September 9, 2026.

Additionally, the group has questioned the reelection aspirations of current president Tito Hernández, noting that he was originally elected under statutes that contained different restrictions regarding term limits.
