Fuerza Regida to receive Billboard Vanguard Award

The musical group Fuerza Regida will be honored with the Billboard Vanguard Award at the 2026 Billboard Latin Music Awards. The ceremony is scheduled for October 22 at the James L. Knight Center in Miami and will be broadcast live on Telemundo and Peacock.

Billboard and Telemundo announced that the award recognizes the group for their innovation in música mexicana, noting that they have expanded the genre's reach and pushed creative boundaries. The San Bernardino, California-based band, formed in 2015, is also a major contender in this year's awards, holding multiple nominations including Artist of the Year and Global Latin Artist of the Year.

Lead vocalist Jesús Ortiz Paz stated that the recognition validates the group's vision of doing things their own way and taking their music to unexpected places. The group is expected to perform during the gala.
