Fugees members Lauryn Hill and Wyclef Jean tease new music
Lauryn Hill and Wyclef Jean have signaled that the Fugees are working on new music. The announcement followed a performance at the Milton Keynes National Bowl in the United Kingdom as part of Hill’s Diaspora Calling! festival.
When asked by BBC News if fans could expect new material soon, Hill responded, “Absolutely.” Wyclef Jean added, “I can only say we are in God’s hands.”
The reunion celebrates the upcoming 30th anniversary of the group’s landmark 1996 album, “The Score.” The festival lineup also included Erykah Badu, Giggs, Fireboy DML, and YG Marley, with Dave Chappelle serving as host. It remains unclear if Pras Michel will participate in future projects due to his recent legal issues in the United States.
