Fuji University pitcher Futo Kadota leads team to North Tohoku championship

Fuji University pitcher Futo Kadota led his team to a North Tohoku University Baseball League championship with a dominant shutout performance against Aomori University. Kadota, a senior right-hander known for a fastball exceeding 150 km/h, pitched nine innings and allowed only three hits to secure the title for the second consecutive season.

Kadota, who previously earned MVP and best ERA titles in the spring league and was selected for the University Japan national team in July, expressed his ambition to become a top-tier professional pitcher. His performance comes at a critical time as scouts monitor talent ahead of the professional baseball draft scheduled for October 22.
