Fujifilm expands instax lineup with new camera releases
Fujifilm is expanding its instax product lineup with several new releases and recognition for its hybrid technology. The instax mini Evo Cinema has been named one of TIME’s best inventions of 2026, marking the second consecutive year the brand has appeared on the list. The device combines digital photography, short-form video, and physical printing in a design inspired by traditional 8mm movie cameras.
Additionally, Fujifilm is launching the instax SQUARE 2, an analog instant camera featuring a new Mood Filter Switch with Warm and Cool settings. The SQUARE 2, which succeeds the SQ1, is expected to be available in late October 2026 and will be released in markets including Singapore for S$169. The camera includes features such as automatic exposure, a selfie mirror, and a new Landscape Mode.
In the Philippines, the company has also introduced the Instax Pal 2 and Instax Link WIDE 2. The Pal 2 is a compact digital camera with a 10MP sensor, featuring a built-in viewfinder, tactile controls, and various film simulation effects. The growing market for instant photography continues to offer a variety of options, from traditional analog models to hybrid digital-analog devices from brands like Fujifilm, Polaroid, and Kodak.
