Fujifilm announces instax SQUARE 2 instant camera

Fujifilm has announced the release of the instax SQUARE 2, an analog instant camera designed for square-format film. The camera features a simple operation where users turn the lens to power on the device. It includes automatic exposure, a selfie mirror, and a new landscape mode optimized for capturing distant scenery and group photos clearly.

A key feature of the SQUARE 2 is the physical mood filter switch located next to the lens, allowing users to toggle between ‘Warm’ and ‘Cool’ tones to alter the atmosphere of their photos while maintaining analog grain. The camera will be available in three colors: Misty White, Slate Blue, and Brick Red.

Alongside the camera, Fujifilm is launching ‘SOFT HAZE’ square-format film. This new film utilizes a modified emulsion formula to produce soft light diffusion and warm color tones, offering a distinct texture compared to digital effects. Accessories, including dedicated camera cases and acrylic frames, will also be released.
