Fujifilm unveils instax SQUARE 2 instant camera

Fujifilm has introduced the instax SQUARE 2, a new instant camera designed for the square format. The device features a redesigned, more rounded body available in Slate Blue, Brick Red, and Misty White.

A key innovation is the Mood Filter switch, which allows users to physically place a filter over the lens to achieve Warm (golden) or Cool (blue) tones, or use the Off setting for a standard look. The camera also includes three focus modes: Close-up (30–50 cm), Standard (50 cm–3 m), and Landscape (3 m to infinity), which can be selected by rotating the lens.

Alongside the camera, Fujifilm is launching instax SQUARE Soft Haze film. This new film stock is designed to produce softer light, lower saturation, and warmer, diffused shadows, aiming for a 90s-style aesthetic. The camera operates with automatic exposure and flash, and is expected to be available in markets starting late October or November 2026.
