FUJIKINA photography festival returns to New York City
The FUJIKINA photography festival returns to New York City’s Lower East Side from October 16 to October 18, 2026. This marks the event’s first New York edition in four years and is framed around the 200th anniversary of photography.
Organizers have designed the festival to function as a “living gallery space,” utilizing eight different venues located within a short walking distance of one another. The program includes exhibitions, artist talks, workshops, photowalks, and portfolio reviews. Key partners for the event include the International Center of Photography (ICP), Magnum Photos, World Press Photo, and FotoFest.
Featured highlights include the World Press Photo Exhibition 2026 and the Magnum “A World in Color” exhibition, which presents the agency’s digitized color archive in its complete form for the first time in the United States. A $10 experience pass provides access to the festival weekend.
