Fujiko F. Fujio merchandise and figures announced in Japan

New merchandise and collectible figures based on the works of Fujiko F. Fujio are being released in Japan.

Iup has launched four new Doraemon-themed items through its official online shop. The collection includes a four-dimensional pocket-style pouch featuring various designs, plush-style tote bags, soft-textured keychains, and a wrist-worn relaxation mascot called the ‘Nemuri-tai’.

Additionally, the Ultra Detail Figure (UDF) series has announced its 17th installment, scheduled for release in late August 2026. This collection features six different figures. While some designs depict classic Doraemon scenes, others are based on Fujiko F. Fujio’s more intense science fiction short stories, such as ‘Hyunhyoro’ and ‘The Plate of the Minotaur’. The inclusion of these darker, more emotional themes has drawn a mixed reaction from fans on social media.
