Fujikyu Group announces uniform renewal and Fuji City hosts Bus Day event

Fujikyu Group is launching a comprehensive renewal of uniforms for its bus and taxi drivers, as well as bus guides, to mark its 100th anniversary. The new attire, which introduces a deep ultramarine accent color representing Mount Fuji, will be implemented starting September 18, 2026. The update includes functional improvements such as wrinkle-resistant, quick-drying fabrics and the introduction of optional pant styles for bus guides.

In a move toward sustainability and disaster prevention, the company plans to upcycle old uniforms into emergency blankets.

Separately, Fuji City will host a “Bus Day Event” at Chuo Park on September 19, 2026. The event celebrates the anniversary of Japan’s first shared bus service and features vehicle displays, mystery tours, and specialized merchandise to promote public transportation and community engagement.
