Fujisaki Town holds cleanup event for National Sports Festival

Fujisaki Town in Aomori Prefecture held a community cleanup event titled ‘Fujisaki Town National Sports Festival Trash 0 Challenge’ on September 12. The initiative aimed to prepare the area for the 80th National Sports Festival, specifically around the Sports Plaza Fujisaki where naginata competitions are scheduled to take place.

Approximately 60 participants, divided into 15 teams, spent about an hour collecting litter from sidewalks and grassy areas. The event included a competition based on the weight of the trash collected. The winning team, ‘Wasshoi FUJISAKI’, was recognized by Mayor Shinji Totsunai.
