Fujisoft and Daido develop physical AI package for collaborative robots
Fujisoft and Daido have jointly developed a “Physical AI Start Package” designed to lower the barrier to entry for implementing collaborative robots in manufacturing environments. The package aims to address labor shortages caused by aging populations by enabling robots to perform autonomous tasks through natural language instructions and visual recognition.
The system integrates Fanuc’s CRX series collaborative robots with NVIDIA-powered PCs and specialized software. It allows users to command robots using spoken language; the AI then interprets the voice commands, identifies objects via camera imagery, and directs the robot to move items to specified locations.
Designed as a development and proof-of-concept (PoC) environment rather than an immediate production-line solution, the package operates in an on-premise setting to ensure security. The companies plan to begin full-scale orders in January 2027, targeting annual sales of 100 units by fiscal year 2028. The estimated price is between 10 million and 12 million yen, including hardware and basic software.
