Fujisoft and Soracom launch LTE USB dongle starter kit

Fujisoft and Soracom have announced the launch of an LTE USB dongle starter kit, available on the SORACOM IoT Store starting October 14. The kit includes the +F FS040U LTE Cat. 4 USB dongle and a SORACOM Air SIM card (plan-K2, 500MB), along with a 2,000 yen coupon for SORACOM service usage.

The +F FS040U is a compact, lightweight device designed for IoT and business applications, such as remote monitoring, digital signage, surveillance cameras, and payment terminals. It connects to Windows or Linux devices via USB and supports both dial-up (RAS) and network adapter (NDIS) connection methods. The device has obtained the JC-STAR ★1 security compliance label, making it suitable for business environments with specific security requirements.

By bundling the hardware with communication services, the kit aims to streamline the procurement process for companies implementing IoT solutions in sectors like manufacturing, logistics, retail, and construction.
