Fujisoft launches smart factory offering to implement Physical AI

Fujisoft has announced the full-scale rollout of its ‘Smart Factory Offering,’ a comprehensive system designed to support the entire manufacturing lifecycle from design and production to equipment operation and data utilization. In collaboration with its group company, Cybernet Systems, the initiative aims to transform manufacturing sites through four key categories: advanced design and production preparation, manufacturing execution management via virtual verification, retrofit-style automation for existing equipment, and integrated data analysis.

A central focus of the strategy is the implementation of ‘Physical AI,’ which uses integrated digital thread data to autonomously control robots and equipment. To facilitate this, Fujisoft plans to launch a Physical AI starter package in October 2026 in partnership with robot manufacturers and trading companies. The company is also developing next-generation hardware platforms optimized for edge-based Physical AI processing through alliances with major semiconductor vendors.

The initiative specifically targets ‘brownfield’ sites—existing factories facing labor shortages and aging equipment. Rather than requiring a total overhaul of machinery, Fujisoft proposes adding sensors and software to existing PLC, SCADA, and MES systems. This approach aims to minimize costs and downtime while enabling data collection, visibility, and autonomous control through a combination of IT, OT, and AI technologies.
