Fujitsu evolves Uvance model to drive AI Transformation

Fujitsu is evolving its business model, Uvance, to focus on AI Transformation (AX) as its primary growth engine. The company aims to achieve revenue of over 1.7 trillion yen by fiscal year 2030, targeting an average annual growth rate of more than 20%.

The updated Uvance model will provide full-stack value through three layers: FDE and consulting, applications and AI agents, and platforms. Fujitsu plans to shift toward industry-specific value creation, focusing on sectors such as manufacturing, retail, finance, and the public sector. This approach involves systematizing business processes, decision-making criteria, and specialized knowledge into actionable AI context.

To support this, Fujitsu will combine its proprietary intellectual property—including the Fujitsu Kozuchi AI platform, the Takane generative AI for enterprises, and the high-efficiency Fujitsu MONAKA Server—with frontier AI. The company intends to offer multi-AI environments that address specific customer requirements regarding data sovereignty and intellectual property protection. A new data and AI foundation designed to continuously enhance AI agents is expected to be available by March 2027.
