Fujitsu unveils new cybersecurity strategy to counter AI-driven threats
Fujitsu Limited has announced a new cybersecurity strategy designed to address the complexities of enterprise systems and the rapid advancement of generative AI. Rather than treating security as a post-implementation operational task, the company is adopting a ‘cyber defense lifecycle’ approach. This model integrates strategic planning, design, development, implementation, operation, evaluation, and improvement into a continuous cycle.
Key components of this initiative include the Cyber Defense Operations Model and the Fujitsu Cyber Defense Framework. To support these, Fujitsu is establishing the ‘Cyber Nerve System’ to detect, analyze, and visualize threats and risks. This system will feed into a new virtual organization, the ‘Cyber Security Nerve Center,’ which will provide objective data and evidence to assist executives in making informed security decisions.
Fujitsu intends to use its own environment to verify new products and functions before deploying them to clients. These advanced services will include AI-powered consulting, vulnerability assessments, AI threat hunting, and AI red team operations, aiming to enhance overall corporate cyber resilience.
