Fuku Suzuki to star in Myojo Charumera 60th anniversary commercial

Myojo Foods Co., Ltd. has announced a new television commercial to celebrate the 60th anniversary of its Myojo Charumera instant noodle brand. The campaign is scheduled to begin nationwide broadcasting on September 5, 2026.

Actor Fuku Suzuki will star in the new advertisement, reprising a connection to the brand from 15 years ago. Suzuki, who appeared in a Charumera commercial in 2011 at the age of seven, will now portray the ‘Charumera Ojisan’ character. During a press conference in Tokyo, Suzuki expressed his excitement about returning to the brand in a different role and noted the sentimental value of the milestone.

The commercial features Suzuki riding a motorcycle with a sidecar, accompanied by a black cat, while singing a parody of Tamio Okuda’s song ‘Sasurai’. The advertisement aims to highlight the brand's signature scallop-based broth and secret spices.
