Fukudaya confectionery shop to hold renewal opening in Nagoya

The long-standing Japanese confectionery shop Fukudaya, located in the Chikusa Ward of Nagoya, is scheduled to hold its renewal opening on October 10, 2026, at 10:00 AM. The establishment, which has a 131-year history, had been temporarily closed since May 7, 2026, to undergo renovations due to building aging.

To celebrate the reopening, the shop will host a mochi-throwing event in its adjacent parking lot around 9:30 AM on the opening day. Promotional offers include gifts for the first 50 customers each day from October 10 to 12, as well as small gifts for visitors and canvas bags for purchases exceeding 2,000 yen.
